PRICE SAYS FARM MOVE HAS TRANSFORMED HIS GAME

GERWYN PRICE claims buying a FARM has transformed his form on the oche.
The Iceman won Week Nine of the Premier League n Manchester, averaging over 104 in wins over Luke Humphries, Stephen Bunting and Gian van Veen.
World No. 8 Price now sits second in the table, just two points behind table-topper Luke Littler.
The former world champ revealed his latest success came just hours after finally completing a long-awaited move for a 200-acre plot of land.
Price admitted getting the deal over the line lifted a weight off his shoulders and allowed him to fully focus on his darts.
He told the Double Tops Podcast: “I’ve been wanting to complete for the last couple of months and I’ve probably done the solicitor’s heads in.
“I’ve done, you know, the girl, Sam, who’s been the estate agent for Mike who’s selling the farm. I’ve been onto them.
“I just wanted to complete just so I can get it behind me and concentrate and yeah, the completion came through about five o’clock today and then I was like, happy days.
“I’m going to play well today. And I did. I’ve always wanted a little bit of a small old in, but I don’t know if 200 acres is a small old in. I’ve gone all out.”
Price also revealed that living next door to his fish and chip shop brought some unwanted attention.
The Markham thrower recalled an incident where a customer visiting the chippy even took photos of his motor.
He laughed: “I know, with a flat tire. It’s my old car, right. She was on the drive for a couple of months.”
Price is determined to avoid complacency and keep up the momentum as he looks to secure a Play-Off spot at the O2.
He added: “You know it is still not in the bag that I’m going to be in the playoffs, so I need to keep playing well week after week. It doesn’t matter.
“You know 19 points, Jonny’s on 19. They’re not too far behind. So a couple of nightly wins for them and if you don’t pick up any points, you’re back under again.
“So, if I can keep picking up two points each week, which I target, then, you know, a wins a bonus.”
Price returns to action this evening and will face Josh Rock in the major tournament at Brighton.
