HUMPHRIES ADMITS NEW SMILE HAS BOOSTED CONFIDENCE ON THE OCHE

29/04/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

LUKE HUMPHRIES is hoping his stunning new smile can help fire him back into contention in the Premier League.

The world No.2 has enjoyed a strong run on the ProTour this season, lifting titles at the Players Championship Four and the Belgium Darts Open.

The Cheshire thrower also reached the final of the World Masters before falling to Luke Littler.

But it’s been a different story on Thursday nights as Humphries currently sits sixth in the table and is five points off the play-off places after 12 weeks of action.

Humphries is now turning to a fresh boost off the oche after completing a 16-month Invisalign journey that has transformed his confidence and teeth.

He said on Instagram: “I have been on this journey with Invisalign for 16 months now. It’s been an exciting journey for myself because, as people know, I was very self-conscious about my teeth.

“I did think it was going to be a hard journey for myself because I am away a lot and you don’t want to be taking them off all the time and putting them back on.

“I found it really easy. It was a straightforward journey for myself and the results that I have got, and that are still to come, are going to be massive for myself and my confidence.

“I am here today at Smmmile to take off my attachments and then we are onto the whitening. Then we are going to be doing some composite bonding.

“For me, being up on stage, you want to be smiling and showing your teeth. I feel like that is something I do now, so for me the journey has been fantastic.

“It has been quite an easy one and gone quite quickly. I am just really happy that I have done it and I advise anyone else out there to do it as well if you need it.”

Humphries is targeting his first nightly win as he kicks off his bid in Aberdeen against Michael van Gerwen in the Premier League tomorrow evening.
