LUKE LITTLER hit out at a fan after being ‘grabbed’ from behind at a hotel in Prague.
‘The Nuke’ will compete at the Gambrinus Czech Darts Open and will face Cameron Menzies in round two this evening.
World No. 2 Littler arrived in Prague late on Friday and was greeted by a group of frenzied fans, who wanted to take pictures with the world champion.
But the teen sensation claims he was verbally abused by a fan and ‘grabbed’ from behind by another.
He wrote on Instagram: “Just came to the hotel in Prague got a few pictures baring in mind it’s 20 past 11 here it’s busy so got a few pictures with a few people and as I’ve gone to walk off someone has grabbed me and wanted a picture, you don’t grab someone just ask nice how hard is it.”
He added: “And for the fella who came up to me and my dad shouting oi and then saying my behaviour is bad and I’m not bigger and better than anyone DO NOT GRAB ME FROM BEHIND because that’s bad behaviour not me because as soon as he’s grabbed I said do not grab me and walked away.”
Six-times major winner Littler’s experience in Europe – particular Germany – has been hostile given the crowd reception he has received in Berlin and Munich.
Warrington thrower Littler also threatened to boycott events in Germany but is set to appear at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim.
Littler is aiming to win the Czech Open crown, having had successive wins at the World Matchplay, Australian Masters and the New Zealand Masters.
The whizkid also added the Flanders Darts Trophy last week to his growing cabinet of silverware.
