A former professional rugby player, Price made the transition to darts and quickly became one of the sport’s elite players. His aggressive style, passionate celebrations, and on-stage intensity have made him a polarizing figure, but his talent is undeniable. He won his first major title at the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts, a tournament he would win again a year later in 2019.  The 40-year-old reached the pinnacle of the sport in 2021 when he won the PDC World Championship, becoming the first Welshman to lift the title. His victory also secured him the world number one ranking, a position he held for over a year. Known for his explosive scoring power and relentless finishing, Price thrives under pressure and often delivers match-winning moments when it matters most. His transition from rugby to darts is one of the most remarkable career shifts in sports history, proving his adaptability and determination to succeed. ‘Gezzy’ has won a total of thirty-eight PDC titles in his professional career. The Markham thrower is a two-time PDC World Cup of Darts champion, winning the 2020 and 2023 events, where he represented Wales alongside Jonny Clayton.
